Hi there!
I’m James, a wedding & portait photographer based in Orange County, CA. Three words I would use to describe myself are curious, persistent, and adaptable. Being outdoors is one of my favorite activities– the warm glow of the sunset during golden hour brings me so much joy to see. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, rock climbing, and discovering new music on Spotify.
Photography Background
In 2015, I was handed my first DSLR camera from my older sister. Back then, it was a fun tool to capture moments from my high school club events and travels for social media content.
Once I got to college in 2017, I learned how powerful the camera could be as a tool not only to visualize aesthetically pleasing moments, but to help myself and others remember meaningful experiences that could easily be forgotten. I realized how a simple glance at a photo could help me appreciate relationships, places and experiences so much better.
So in 2020, I upgraded from my Canon EOS Rebel t2i to a Sony a7iii and decided that my passion for preserving meaningful moments through photography and videography was worth investing in for a lifetime.
For the past ten years, I’ve experienced so much joy collaborating with couples, graduates, & families to preserve their most meaningful moments in life. My hope is that I can bring value to you through my work, & that it would help you appreciate more of what you have for a lifetime.
Stylistically, I like to edit my photos in true-to-color tones and maximize the presence of natural lighting (the hour before sunset is my favorite!). I promise to do my best to help you feel comfortable and relaxed so you can feel like your most authentic selves when we meet.
